Sri Lanka Document Checklist

1. Mandatory Travel Documents (All Applicants)

Passport & Identity

• Valid Passport: Must have at least 6 months of remaining validity from your date of arrival.

• Blank Pages: Must contain a minimum of 2 blank visa pages.

• Recent Photograph: A clear, passport-sized photograph to be uploaded during the online application process.

Entry Authorization & Travel Proof

• Approved ETA / eVisa: A pre-approved Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) secured prior to arrival via the official online portal.

• Flight Tickets: Proof of a confirmed return or onward flight ticket.

• Proof of Accommodation: Confirmed hotel bookings, resort reservations, or an invitation letter stating the address if staying with local residents.

Financial & Medical Requirements

• Proof of Sufficient Funds: Bank statements or active credit cards demonstrating the means to cover daily expenses (typically averaging approximately $30 USD per day).

• Travel Insurance: Strongly recommended to provide comprehensive coverage for medical expenses and potential travel emergencies during the stay.

2. Port of Entry Requirements

Upon arrival at Sri Lankan immigration, applicants must be prepared to present physical printouts of the following documents alongside their passport:

• Physical printout of the ETA approval notice.

• Confirmed return/onward flight tickets.

• Verifiable proof of accommodation.
