Portugal Visa

 

1. General & Travel Documents

  • Passport: Must be valid for at least three months beyond your scheduled departure date from the Schengen area, issued within the last 10 years, and contain a minimum of two blank pages.

  • Application Form: Must be fully completed, accurately dated, and signed by the applicant.

  • Photographs: Two recent, color passport-size photographs (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) taken against a plain white background.

  • Cover Letter: A signed declaration explaining your exact purpose of travel, detailed itinerary, and intended duration of stay.

  • Flight Itinerary: Confirmed round-trip flight reservations.

  • Accommodation: Confirmed hotel bookings, rental reservations, or a formal invitation letter if residing with friends or family.

  • Travel Insurance: Valid policy with a minimum medical coverage of €30,000 for emergency hospitalization and repatriation across the entire Schengen zone.

2. Proof of Financial Means

  • Bank Statements: Original bank statements reflecting transactions for the last 3 months, demonstrating sufficient funds (minimum of approximately €75 per day of stay, plus €40 for entry).

  • Income Tax Returns (ITR): Official ITR forms filed for the previous 3 years.

  • Additional Proof: Sponsorship letter (if applicable), salary payslips for the last 3 months, or international credit card statements.

3. Employment & Vocation Proof

  • If Employed: A valid employment contract, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your current employer, and salary slips for the last 3 months.

  • If Self-Employed: Business registration certificate, proof of proprietorship, or a formal partnership deed.

  • If a Student: Official proof of enrollment in an Indian educational institution and a university acceptance letter (for education visas).

4. Additional Requirements for Long-Stay (National) Visas

The following are exclusively required if you are relocating to Portugal on a long-term visa, such as a Work Visa or Digital Nomad (D9) Visa.

  • Police Clearance Certificate (PCC): Officially issued by your nearest Regional Passport Office.

  • Employment Contract or Declaration: A formal document provided by a Portuguese employer or an authorized digital nomad sponsor.
