China Tourist Visa (L) Document Checklist
1. Primary Documents

Original Passport: Must include your current passport and any previous old passports.

Visa Application Form: Online-submitted application form, fully completed and signed.

Photographs: Two recent, fresh photographs meeting the following specifications:

Size: 35mm x 45mm.

Finish: Matt finish with a solid white background.

Composition: Close-up face image covering 80% of the photo; ears must be clearly visible.

Vaccination Certificate: Vaccination certificate officially linked to your passport.
2. Travel & Accommodation Proof

Flight Tickets: Confirmed onward and return flight itineraries.

Hotel Reservation: Official hotel confirmation from China, printed on the hotel’s letterhead, featuring the hotel seal and authorized signature.

Day-to-Day Itinerary: A detailed itinerary of the planned visit, explicitly including arrival/departure dates, places to be visited, and accommodation arrangements.
3. Financial & Employment Proof

Bank Certificate: Original bank statement for the last 6 months. Every page must be stamped and signed by the bank, reflecting a minimum balance of 2 Lakhs.

Personal Covering Letter: Addressed to the Consulate General of China, Mumbai. It must clearly state:

Full name (as per passport) and contact details (home address, mobile number).

Exact travel dates and purpose of the visit.
-
Work profile and accommodation details in China.
-
Clear declaration of who will bear the travel expenses.

Employment/Education Proof (Select as applicable):

For Employees: An official leave approval letter on company letterhead, signed by an authorized signatory.

For Students: A Bonafide/School Certificate and a leave letter on the school's letterhead, signed by an authorized signatory.

For Self-Employed Applicants: Company Goods and Services Tax (GST) registration certificate.

4. Jurisdictional Address Proof

Required only if the passport was issued outside the local consular jurisdiction. Outstation applicants must submit any two of the following documents:

Telephone bill (from the immediate previous month).

Electricity bill (from the immediate previous month).
-
Valid Registered Lease / Leave and Licenses Agreement.

Valid Registered Rent Agreement.

Official letter from the employer confirming the current residential address.
-
Allotment Letter (must include authorized person's name, signature, designation, and company stamp).

Society Letter (must include authorized person's name, signature, designation, and society stamp).

1. Primary Documents

2. Indian Company Documents

Covering Letter: Formal business covering letter printed on the Indian company's official letterhead.

Company Registration Proof: Copy of the Indian company's GST registration certificate.
3. Chinese Inviting Party Documents

Invitation Letter: Official business invitation letter issued by the inviting Chinese company.

Authorized Signatory ID: Copy of the Chinese national identity card (both front and back) belonging to the person who signed the invitation letter.
4. Additional Documents (If applicable)

Exhibition Attendance: If traveling specifically for a trade exhibition or fair, you must provide the official exhibition letter along with the corresponding hotel voucher.
